The valley of Orco river is in the wonderful Gran Paradiso National Park, quite close to the city of Torino.
It is internationally considered one of the Edens of granite rock climbing:

  •   Slabs and faces, generally equipped with fixed protections.
  •   Beautiful cracks, to be protected on the lead and requiring skills in jamming, from 6a to 8b (5.10a-5.13c), internationally known.
  •   Valley floor walls, 100 to 250 m tall, on which the history of modern climbing in Italy was written in the seventies.
  •   Lateral valleys with 500 m structures on summits above 3000 m.

A place with unique features, to be promoted but carefully preserved.
